The Simhah Program
THE SIMHAH PROGRAM
A Simhah is a joyous occasion, such as a birthday party. Not all children are lucky enough to be able to have birthday parties. This new program is an opportunity for us to bring joy to White Plains and Israeli youth.
TIC volunteers host birthday parties for children at the Coachman Family Shelter in White Plains and sponsor birthdays for children in need in Israel.
6th graders and older or families can sign up with Abby Reiken to help run a birthday party at the Coachman Family Shelter in White Plains.
Donations of party supplies, toys, prizes and art supplies for the Coachman parties can be dropped off in the bin in the TIC main lobby.
To make a donation to the Simhah Program Fund, make a check payable to Temple Israel Center and put on the note: Simhah Program Fund. The donations will help cover the expenses of the birthday parties at Coachman and sponsor birthday parties for needy children in Israel through the program Birthday Angels.
