Operation Mitzvah Volunteer Opportunities
Our youth programs encompass social, religious, educational, and community service activities. The goal of our youth programming is to instill in our children and teens a strong Jewish identity and a sense of what it means to be part of a Jewish community of shared values and goals. At the same time, we place a high priority on our children and teens forming personal friendships and having fun in the context of participation in a Jewish community. We therefore often seek to combine social events with Jewish rituals, traditions, and learning.
There are a variety of ways that your children can deepen and expand their connections to our Jewish youth community through enriching Jewish experiences:
- Ruah (Hebrew word for spirit) is our youth group for grades 3-5.
- Kadimah (Hebrew word for forward) is our youth group for grades 6-8.
- USY (United Synagogue Youth) is our youth group for grades 9-12. Check out www.USY.org for more information about USY, including conventions, retreats, and summer programs. Top
