In our youth programs children and teens benefit from the principles of informal Jewish education by:

Basketball League
Over 90 boys and girls in grades 5-12 play and represent Temple Israel Center in the Westchester Jewish Basketball League. Our basketball teams are a fun way for players to improve their skills, as well as strengthen their connections to Temple Israel Center and the Westchester Jewish community. Ben Yehudah Street (BYS)
Help your child have fun while making efficient use of the time between secular and Religious School. 2nd - 6th graders can socialize, play games in the Moadon (Youth Lounge) and do homework during BYS. Click here for more information and to register.
Come find out what all of the buzz is about - Just stop by the Moadon (Youth Lounge) to try out Ben Yehudah Street on any one day between Monday, Sept. 12th and Thursday, Oct. 6th.
Teen Minyan
Join us for some singing and davening with Jewish rock star, Sheldon Low, and our youth advisors.
Shevet Achim: Brotherhood
Temple Israel Center has joined with Moving Traditions (recently just named as one of the top 50 innovative Jewish programs) to begin a brotherhood group for ALL 8th grade boys at Temple Israel Center (affiliation with the Religious School is NOT required). This group is a place for 8th grade boys to talk about the tough issues facing them today. Click here to read a recent article about this program.

2011-2012 Youth Registration Form for Grades K-12
Registration and dues are required for children to participate in any youth programs for grades K-12, including Basketball and Midnight/Sunrise Run.
Please ensure that the Office of Congregational Learning has the correct email addresses for both you and you and your child. You will receive detailed email notification about these youth events. Events are subject to change and additional programs may be added - look for email updates.
