We are a Conservative congregation that is dedicated to providing a warm and nurturing environment where children can achieve their full potential—socially, emotionally, creatively, cognitively, physically, and Jewishly. Welcoming Abbe
Rosner
Summer 2010
We are pleased to announce that Abbe Rosner has been appointed as the new Director for Temple Israel Center Nursery School. Abbe comes to us from the Jewish Federation of Greater Clifton/Passaic (YM/YWHA) where she has been the Director of the Early Learning Center since 2008. Prior to this, she was the Preschool Director at Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Montclair, NJ for eight years.
Abbe received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from George Washington University and has completed graduate classes at Bank Street College of Education. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Abbe has been very involved in both Hadassah and her own synagogue (Teaneck Jewish Center), and she has served as PTA president at Solomon Schechter School of Bergen County which her children attended. Abbe and her husband, Yossi, have a large blended family including children and grandchildren in White Plains.
Abbe is a warm, nurturing professional who is committed to the same developmental, child-centered, and play-based philosophy of education that has always characterized our Nursery School. Abbe's enthusiastic love of children and her passion for Jewish education will be tremendous assets to the school and the community, and she looks forward to building strong relationships with parents, teachers, and children.
