Virtual Viewing: May 6–May 11.
ZOOM with Israel Is Beautiful Guide Onnie Schiffmiller, Tuesday May 11 at 1:00 pm.
On the grounds of the Knesset stands a very special menorah. We will see how all of Jewish history is carved into this 12-foot menorah. Wanderings in the desert, King David’s successes, Bar Cochba’s revolt and the dedication of Ruth are just some of the stories recognized in this bronze tribute to the strength of the Jewish people. You’ll be surprised to find out who donated this sculpture and mesmerized by the stories that unfold in its 25 panels. The story of how the menorah came about and its financing are as impressive as the menorah itself.
Registration is for one screen; multiple people may watch with you on that one screen. (Please do not use more than one device to join the Zoom session.) Enjoy the tour!
