The beautiful nursery school wing of Temple Israel Center is home to the JCC Mid-Westchester (JCCMW) Toward Tomorrow Preschool (licensed by the New York State Department of Education). The site offers a variety of programs, caring and experienced staff, and a nurturing environment for children who have delays in communication, motor, and/or social development.
Each child is encouraged to explore, experiment, create, and progress at a rate comfortable for them. The program fosters the development of positive self-esteem and helps promote independence using hands-on activities. The program emphasizes the development of language, fine and gross motor skills, social interaction, and independence in a collaborative and caring atmosphere. The program accepts children ages 2.9 to 5.
