A conservative, egalitarian synagogue

Thu, 02/21/2019 - 3:04pm -- Robin Arzt

This year, Passover begins on Friday evening, April 19. If, after thoroughly cleaning for Passover, you still have hametz products to store during the holiday, you may perform the ritual of “selling your hametz” through the synagogue by completing and submitting the form below by FRIDAY, April 19, 2019 at 8:00 AM SHARP.  Sorry, but Jewish law does not allow for ANY exceptions.

When selling one’s hametz it is traditional to donate to “maot hittin” providing food for those less fortunate.
Donations to the Passover Ma'ot Hittim Fund (via Rabbi Futterman's Discretionary Fund), can also be made online on our GIVING page. You must also fill out form below.

I hereby authorize Rabbi Dina Shargel to sell to anyone she wishes - or to authorize someone else to do so - any hametz or hametz products that I own anywhere in the world, and any such products that I may yet acquire between now and 8:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2019 (except for hametz designated to be consumed by my family on April 19 before 10:15 AM). I also give permission to lease to the buyer the ground on which the products lie.

Note: All fields must be completed.

Please type in your full name as an electronic indication of intent to agree to the above.

Click the "SELL MY HAMETZ" button below to submit this form.

Note: You will receive a confirmation notification which will give you the option of making a customary donation to the Passover Ma'ot Hittim Fund.
