Adeena Sussman
Adeena Sussman is a cookbook author, writer, and proud home cook whose work explores the intersection of Jewish and Israeli and culinary cultures. Her new cookbook, Zariz: 100 Easy, Breezy, Tel Aviv-y Recipes, will be released on April 28th. Her last cookbooks, Shabbat: Recipes and Rituals From My Table To Yours, released in September 2023, was an instant New York Times best seller. Shabbat is the followup to Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors From My Israeli Kitchen, which was named a Best Fall 2019 cookbook by The New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Food & Wine. Prior to writing her own works, Adeena coauthored 15 cookbooks, including three New York Times bestsellers with Chrissy Teigen. Adeena has written or been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine and countless other publications. She graduated with honors from both Boston University’s College of Communications and The Institute or Culinary Education. Adeena cooks and writes in Tel Aviv, where she lives in the shadow of that city’s Carmel Market with her husband, Jay Shofet.
